During the spring of 2010 lecarolimited was commissioned to remodel the penthouse of a German apartment building, spread over two floors, situated beside an inner-city football ground. Identifying the existing situation – large apartment, warren of partitions and closed rooms – we instead proposed a unitary object which, not boxing-off, simply shapes and shelters each different activity.
This principle ambition was developed into a new surface logic which, becoming lounge, bar and kitchen…then wall again, instead guides gently with a continuity from space to space. We projected into the design both a tradition of Loosian sensuality, as well as Mirror’s history of associations with myth and magic; a notion of the unnatural or sinful, where mirror feeds identities, and represents likenesses with an ever-so-slightly distorted truth.

Oskar Fabian studio was commissioned to re-design the main Berlin tourist information located insidze the city´s central station. Part of the commission included designing a small photo exhibition that we included into miniature berlin houses. Those can either form a street or a city block and are inspired by Berlin´s real facades.

This project is rethinking the Europa-Center building complex in West Berlin. Completed in 1965 from HPP architects, the building became known as an Icon of West Berlin, at the heart of the divided city. TRANSPARENT – CONSUMPTION - CAPITALISM. It was the last frontier of the western world, a symbol for a free American imposed society. Over the time and with the fall of the wall the building has changed its face. It became a nostalgic Island, isolated in its multi-layered history. A major part of this work was to reconstruct the historic events, positioning the building in the new context, and creating a new strategy for its structure.

The skyscrapers footprint is divided into a grid of 3.3 meters. Its total height is 84 meters. In this project, the existing building is remodelled into a Public Building which represents the nine ethnic minorities within Hungary. The project is raising the questions of how to integrate the nine ethnic minorities into one building without generating inequalities. The programmatic layout of the building is promoting an exchange between the cultures without confronting them.

The task was to pitch 10 different event locations with ten different exhibition concepts. Every concept should include the complete framework for the event.

2008- 6th - 9th of December / Berlin, Infernoesque Gallery

Nancy says “the party is over“– The day that Nancy Pelosi had quoted that the party was over, that day we started working on the installation, naming it after her statement. In this installation we created six scaleless buildings, each of them dedicated to a key figure in the financial crises of 2008. The illuminated models are batcaves, light and shadow, they do not know any context, neither any borders. The installation was shown at Infernoesque gallery.

I GUESS PEOPLE WONDER IF U MADE ALL THIS MONEY BY TAKING RISK WITH OTHER PEOPLES MONEY ..... YOU COULD HAVE DONE OTHER THINGS."
